課程概述

本課程從使用的角度探討商周器物在禮儀中的角色。作為禮器的商周青銅器與玉器為禮樂活動所不可或缺，無論是人與神、人與祖先之間的溝通、或者是人與人之間身分的分化，均有賴象徵性的禮器來達成。從分析商周青銅器與玉器的造型與裝飾出發，我們將探索的課題包括：不同材質的特性為何？在禮儀中如何使用？各自扮演什麼角色？這些禮器的器形與裝飾又如何因應禮儀內容的變遷而改變？

 

課程目標
 本課程目標有二。第一階段（一至十週）著重在基本材料的熟悉，包括考古報告的閱讀與使用，與研究現況的掌握；第二階段（十一至十八周）從不同的面向讓學生了解禮器在儀式中的重要性，包括紋飾的意義與功能、文字的角色、音樂與樂器的重要性、明器的作用等。 
課程要求
 1. 每週課堂參與及報告閱讀教材
2. 期中作業：二千字以內，在第十一週繳交，選擇參觀活動中新鄭銅器的任一組、件，探討其造型、裝飾特點與可能反映的禮制內涵。
3. 期末報告：六千字以內，選擇課程中涵蓋的商周出土器或器群，討論禮儀與美術的關係。十三週上課時繳交報告構想六百字，十八週結束前繳交書面報告。
